Automating a Management Reporting Workflow

A recurring management-reporting process required substantial manual preparation each week. The challenge was not simply to automate individual steps, but to understand the existing workflow, align stakeholders on a better target process and make the new solution usable in daily operations.

I analyzed the reporting process, supported client meetings and workshops, designed the target workflow with stakeholders and implemented the automation in Smartsheet. I also identified additional opportunities to simplify the flow of information.

The resulting setup reduced weekly reporting effort from around eight hours to 30 minutes. The case is a practical example of combining process understanding, stakeholder communication and implementation rather than treating automation as a standalone technical task.
